AKA&#8230;. the AM\/FM radio.  The earliest experimental AM transmissions began in the early 1900s. However, widespread AM broadcasting was not established until the 1920s, following the development of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Vacuum_tube\">vacuum tube<\/a> receivers and transmitters. AM radio remained the dominant method of broadcasting for the next 30 years, a period called the &#8220;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Golden_Age_of_Radio\">Golden Age of Radio<\/a>&#8220;, until <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Television_broadcasting\">television broadcasting<\/a> became widespread in the 1950s and received much of the programming previously carried by radio. Later, AM radio&#8217;s audiences declined greatly due to competition from FM (<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/FM_broadcasting\">frequency modulation<\/a>) radio, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Digital_audio_broadcasting\">Digital Audio Broadcasting<\/a> (DAB), <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Satellite_radio\">satellite radio<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/HD_Radio\">HD (digital) radio<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Internet_radio\">Internet radio<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Music_streaming_service\">music streaming services<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Podcasting\">podcasting<\/a>.<br><br>FM is losing in a parallel bandwagon.  With the advent of the &#8220;NET&#8221; and all-things-digital, we find ourselves at a crossroad of sorts. As we advance with AI technology there are many options opening up on the horizon. But are they dangerous? <br>     Try selling advertising on radio? It has come to the point in time where the customers seek you out. A cold sales call does not work in this generation.
