The band has a electric energy that so many today are missing. These guys are a treasure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May 2019, the band issued their next studio album, <em>Take Me Higher<\/em>, which had been conceived and written with the new members, Henry James and Warren Murrel. Their subsequent touring schedule took in the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Ramblin%27_Man_Fair\">Ramblin&#8217; Man Fair<\/a> in the UK alongside headliners <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Foreigner_(band)\">Foreigner<\/a>, and the Keeping The Blues Alive at Sea Mediterranean Blues Cruise in the company of <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Joe_Bonamassa\">Joe Bonamassa<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Peter_Frampton\">Peter Frampton<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Eric_Gales\">Eric Gales<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Randolph_and_the_Family_Band\">Robert Randolph and the Family Band<\/a>.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Bio-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> Their next album, <em>Last Light on the Highway<\/em>, was released on May 8, 2020. The album featured backing singers <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Mahalia_Barnes\">Mahalia Barnes<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Jade_MacRae\">Jade MacRae<\/a> and Juanita Tippins.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Muse-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup> &#8220;Tired Of Drinking Alone&#8221; was one of 11 self-penned tracks making up the collection.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Herecomes-2\">[2]<\/a><\/sup> The release warranted a favorable mention in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Rolling_Stone\">Rolling Stone<\/a><\/em>, and the single release from the album, &#8220;Oh Miss Carolina&#8221;, had a three month tenure on Planet Rock Radio in the UK. By this stage the band membership had settled as Robert Jon Burrison (lead vocals\/guitar), Andrew Espantman (drums\/background vocals), Steve Maggiora (keyboards\/background vocals), Henry James (lead guitar), and Warren Murrel (bass guitar).<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Bio-1\">[1]<\/a><\/sup> Their next studio album was <em>Shine a Light on Me Brother<\/em>, which was released on September 3, 2021.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Noble-4\">[4]<\/a><\/sup> It received critical acclaim.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Intrepid-5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup> One reviewer commented &#8220;Shine A Light On Me Brother is Robert Jon and the Wreck&#8217;s best album to date which is saying a lot. It&#8217;s a great album from start to finish&#8221;.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Review-6\">[6]<\/a><\/sup> Touring commitments throughout 2021 took in parts of Europe, including at <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bospop\">Bospop<\/a> in <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Weert\">Weert<\/a>, Netherlands, the UK in May, plus Australian and Japanese dates.<sup><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Bio-1\">[1]<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Jon_%26_the_Wreck#cite_note-Muse-3\">[3]<\/a><\/sup><em>Wreckage Vol. 2<\/em> (2022), was a compilation album covering in-studio and live performances recorded between 2020 and 2022. On November 4, 2022, the band announced via <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Instagram\">Instagram<\/a> that Maggiora had left the band, due to his duties as a member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Toto_(band)\">Toto<\/a> touring band.
